Original 1st pressing US gatefold TORSO cover (uncensored).
A sticker was added to the coverback over the US number stating
"710 004 STEREO" because the record inside the cover was
pressed in Germany. Is the orignal German 1st pressing vinyl from
1966 with crossed out US matrix replaced by stamped "1966"
for year of pressing and "710 004" for the number of the
German original Verve pressing. Gatefold cover is clean withotu
tears, seam splits. Banana sticker is still in place. Only the black
tip on top is gone. Upper half of sticker is somewhat crumpled.
Lower half as new, probably never peeled. There is a small name
rubber stamped on the inside of the gatefold. Both labels are mega
clean. Under my desktop light, vinyl looks as new! And even under
500-watt halogenic light it looks as new. Vinyl plays EX+ with only
slight noise to be heard between tracks and on some low-key passages.
No need to explain to any serious collector how rare this record is - especially in this condition! Original cover scan is on this page |
